GNPS Virtual Program, “Agave Restoration Projects for Bat Conservation”
Friday, October 15, 2021, 06:00pm |
Join Bat Conservation International’s Dan Taylor for a program describing efforts to restore Agave palmeri and Agave parryi in southwestern New Mexico to support nectivorous bat populations. This subject should attract flora and fauna lovers alike (as well as anyone curious about the nectar-feeding bats that have been coming to our hummingbird feeders). It will be a joint program of Southwestern New Mexico Audubon Society and the Gila Native Plant Society.
Dan Taylor is a Senior Restoration Specialist with Bat Conservation International’s Habitat Protection and Restoration (HP&R) Program and has more than 30 years of experience working on a wide range of wildlife and conservation issues in the U.S., Central America, and Africa.
GNPS and Audubon members will receive the Zoom link a week ahead. The public is welcome. Anyone interested in joining in the Zoom presentation on Friday, October 15, at 6:00 pm, may send a request for a link to swnmaudubon@gmail.com or gilanative@gmail.com.
