Santa Fe — Military veterans, National Guard members, reservists, and active-duty service members will be honored during Military and Veterans Day at the Legislature on Feb. 3 at the State Capitol.

Presented by the New Mexico Department of Veterans' Services (NMDVS) in partnership with the New Mexico National Guard (NMNG), the annual event highlights New Mexico's commitment to its military and veteran community.

Beginning at 8 a.m., information tables staffed by NMDVS, NMNG, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and various veteran and community organizations will be available, followed by a noon ceremony in the Capitol Rotunda. The 2026 theme, "Celebrating Our History, Building Our Future," honors New Mexico's proud military legacy and the sacrifice of the past 250 years, as well as future service members and the families who support them.

The event offers opportunities to connect with service providers, engage with state legislators, and learn more about resources and benefits available to New Mexico's military and veteran community.
