Madelyn Frances La Rosa-Corliss, 64, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at her residence. She was born in Queens, NY to Donald Joseph LaRosa and Elinore Lytle.
Maddy LaRosa Corliss who obtained a Master of Social work, was a veteran, an advocate for children, served in the coast guard and 18 plus years in the Army Reserves whose compassion touched countless lives, passed away 09/10/25. Throughout her years in social work, she brought light and hope to those in need, offering guidance, kindness, and unwavering support to her community. Her warm spirit, generous heart, and ability to make everyone feel seen and valued left a lasting mark on all who knew her. She truly embodied love in action and will be remembered as a beautiful soul who made the world brighter simply by being in it.
She was the most loving mom and will be missed. She was an outdoorsy person who participated in hunting, fishing, camping and enjoying the outdoors. Her celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 11,2025 at 1pm at The Lions Club 100 W 8th St, Silver City, NM 88061 .
She is survived by her father, Donald La Rosa; one daughter, Stevie Merriman of Albuquerque, NM; one sister, Doreen La Rosa-LaCroix. She was preceded in death by her mother.
