On Saturday, September 19, 2025, the Silver City Woman's Club held a luncheon and fashion show at the clubhouse on Silver Heights Blvd. The fundraiser was co-chaired by Cathy Gojkovich and Elaine Howard. Tickets were pre-sold, and attendees had a lovely and lively afternoon.
Local boutiques - American Blues, Birdwell's Quail Run Boutique, Circle Heart, The Desert Diva's Silverado Hats, Flowers on 11th featuring The Wild Thistle, and Vintage Fantasies provided models and clothing with accessories. There was a wide range of outfits from the 1950s to today's fashions.
The luncheon was prepared by Bonita Landrum and her kitchen crew. The delicious and beautifully decorated sugar cookies were made by Jan Moore and her daughter-in-law. Carolee Cross served as Mistress of Ceremonies. Door prizes were donated by businesses in town: State Farm - Paul Leetmae, Tractor Supply, The Kneeling Nun Mercantile, Flowers on 11th, Morning Star, Jessie Gomez from A New Direction Hair Salon, Off College Institute of Cosmetology, Albertsons, The Union Army Store and More, as well as members Jane Medin, Carolyn Peckham, Elaine Howard and Cathy Gojkovich.
The Woman's Club held the event to provide funds for the Veterans Day Dinner to be held on November 11, 2025 for all local veterans and their spouses to honor their service and sacrifice. It is free of charge for them. Thank you to everyone who helped to make this a huge success!Lexi from Flowers on 11th featuring The Wild Thistle
