While the Wreaths Across America Remembrance Ceremony and wreath placement at Fort Bayard National Cemetery both won't be happening until Saturday morning on December 13, it is now time to order a wreath or wreaths at $17 to remember and honor veterans at the cemetery over the Christmasholiday season.
The local order form mailing postmark deadline is November 19. Observing this cutoff enables the needed amount of wreaths to be shipped to the cemetery from Maine. In order to have a wreath for each individual cemetery marker again this year, it is hoped that 5000 wreaths will be sponsored in 2025.
Wreath order forms are available at ACE Hardware stores, Suburban Fuel Center, area banks, and Terrazas' and Baca's funeral homes.
Ordering locally guarantees wreath placement for special requests and $5 Forward toward the local FBNC account for another veteran's wreath.
