The Southwest Fiber Arts Collective held its annual Tapestry of Talent fashion show at the Silco Theatre on Saturday, April 5, during a late spring snowstorm. The place filled with those wanting to see and perhaps purchase an item or two and/or buy tickets for the large baskets to be raffled.

The event opened with Charmeine Wait, the SWFAC chair and one of the original founders of the group, said the organization has been serving the community and providing outlets for fabric artists to make money from their creations for 20 years.

Bill Nolde served as commentator and he and Laura Ramnarace had written the script of descriptions of each piece of fabric art.

Many other members of the collective served on various committees to promote the annual fundraiser.

The models included Tina Salmon, Anita Williams, Leah Klearman, Melinda Woods, Arielle Certosimo, Rachel Estrada, Victor Vasquez, Becky Carr, Jeannie Fischer, Shelly Barnett (who was replaced by Juliann unknown last name), Judy Goodwin, Robert Sanders, Alex Sanders, Jennifer Sanders, Mungo de Grijalva, Gary Hilton and Raul Turrieta. Models' first names will be used with the photos; fabric artist by full name and title of fabric artworks.
