Roswell, NM – April 29, 2025 – The Eastern New Mexico University system is set to host its first-ever "One Eastern Day" celebration, sponsored by JP Stone Community Bank, on Thursday, May 1, from 4 to 9 p.m. on the ENMU-Roswell Campus.
The Eastern New Mexico University System is inviting all community members from Roswell and the surrounding communities to come out and celebrate all things Eastern at this special event on May 1.
The event will feature outdoor activities for the whole family, including food trucks, inflatables, displays, live music, and a free concert by Roswell's own Grupo Maldad.
This event is also an opportunity for the local community to connect with the ENMU System campuses (ENMU-Portales, ENMU-Roswell, and ENMU-Ruidoso) to meet institution representatives, speak with program leaders, and engage in fun activities with representatives from all three campuses.
"The ENMU System created these events, with future ones planned in Ruidoso and Portales, as a way to connect and engage with the communities we serve," said James Johnston, ENMU Chancellor. "We hope to see families come out to enjoy the festivities and perhaps discover a higher education path with the ENMU system."
The "One Eastern Day" Celebration is happening on the campus of ENMU-Roswell at the Student Services Center on Thursday, May 1, from 4 to 9 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
