New Mexico State University's Arrowhead Center and the City of Santa Fe office of Economic Development have launched the Santa Fe Small Business Navigator program, one of New Mexico's most comprehensive networks of service resources for small business development.

The program is funded by the City of Santa Fe and powered by Arrowhead Center. It provides small business owners, founders and entrepreneurs in Santa Fe access to confidential, no-cost services such as one-on-one advising, expert training, mentoring opportunities, and microgrant programs.

"The Navigator program is about working smarter and making sure out small businesses can quickly connect to the resources they need. By partnering with Arrowhead Center, we're ensuring that Santa Fe's entrepreneurs don't have to navigate challenges alone; they have a clear path to support growth and opportunity," said Johanna Nelson, director of the City of Santa Fe Office of Economic Development.

The Navigator welcomes Santa Fe-based small business owners, entrepreneurs and founders at all stages, from inception to growth and expansion. Its services cover the full range of what an entrepreneur might need, including business planning, license and permit application assistance, and marketing strategy.

Small business owners can sign up to join the Navigator network for immediate access to a one-on-one consultation. The Navigator also welcomes nonprofit, university and government organizations that provide direct services for entrepreneurs, serving as a resource partner by joining the online Resource Navigator directory.

The Santa Fe Small Business Navigator will create a tightly linked network of small business owners and service providers. Together, they will raise community awareness of entrepreneurial activity in the Santa Fe area and continue to drive the economy of the region. The Navigator will promote entrepreneurial growth by initiating innovative programs and strategic alliances.

"This partnership with the City of Santa Fe Office of Economic Development on the launch of Santa Fe Small Business Navigator is an exciting new strategy for business support. Together we aim to leverage the vast expertise of the community by creating a hub to support small business owners and devise collaborative strategies to meet their needs and connect them to critical resources," said Kristin Morehead, Arrowhead Center's Community Entrepreneurship Division director.
