Bring your blankets, chairs, and picnic baskets to watch the film Salt of the Earth, a 1954 film depicting the Empire Zinc strike. Many of the strike participants also starred in the movie. The Library of Congress has selected Salt of the Earth as one of 100 films to be preserved for posterity. We invite all those inclined to stay afterward and share reactions to the movie. Popcorn will be served.
