WNMU Board of Regents Meeting

What:    The Western New Mexico University Board of Regents meeting during which the board will vote on the 2020-2021 budget as well as hear reports from the university president, faculty and staff presidents, and the student government president. The board will also vote on Faculty Promotion and Tenure, Post-Tenure Review, and New Degree Programs (Master of Arts in History and Master of Arts in Early Education: Trauma-Informed Practices); Faculty Handbook Changes; Staff Senate Constitution & Bylaws Changes; Associated Students of WNMU Constitution Amendments; Student Handbook Changes; Alcohol & Drug Prevention Biennial Program Review; Capital Project Transmittal for Energy Performance Project; Revised Capital Project Transmittal for Altamirano Field Turf; Five-Year Capital Outlay Projects & Infrastructure & Capital Projects; Revised Final Budget Adjustment Request; Asset Disposal; Resolution Adopting Notice Procedures Pursuant to the New Mexico Open Meetings Act; and the Election of Officers. The agenda and other pertinent documents are available at admin.wnmu.edu/bor/meetings. 

Who:     Regent Chair Janice Baca-Argabright, Vice Chair Dr. Carl Foster, members Dr. Mary Hotvedt and Jerry Walz, and student regent Tim Stillman; WNMU President Dr. Joseph Shepard, Vice President of Academic Affairs/Provost Jack Crocker, Vice President of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management Isaac Brundage, and Vice President of Business Affairs Kelley Riddle; Associated Students of WNMU President Darlene Chavez and Associated Students of WNMU President Elect Brenda Dominguez, President of Staff Senate Michael Acosta, and President of Faculty Senate Dr. Scott Fritz and President of Faculty Senate Elect Dr. Susan McFeaters.

When:   The regular session will be on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at 10 a.m. The WNMU Board of Regents will meet in an executive session at 8:30 a.m. prior to the regular session.

Where: The executive session and the regular session will occur virtually. In accordance with the protocols intended to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the meeting will be held over Zoom at https://wnmu.zoom.us/j/5755386880 and is open to the public. A recording of the meeting will be posted on the WNMU Board Meetings video archive webpage at mediasite.wnmu.edu/Mediasite6/Catalog/Full/538aca416cc64d299294aa9ebc1bbf9f21.
