The Tour of the Gila is in need of many more people for the race during the period of April 30- May 4. Volunteers are also treated to a party following the race on Sunday, with live music, pizza, beer and soda.
How can you help?
- Be a support driver – many different types of positions – carrying an official, leading out a category, an easy drive to "sweep" after a category; or handing out wheels to cyclists. Gas costs are covered by the race.
- Course marshal - direct traffic at intersections (especially on Saturday during the Downtown races). Set up signs.
- Host racers - Host housing is a terrific way to involve yourself and get to know racers. They need a place to sleep, bathroom access and kitchen use (racers prepare their own food).
- Other odd jobs. Distribution of posters, flyers, t-shirts; Team helpers; First aid.
