CSBrassThe Grant County Community Concert Association presents C Street Brass on Friday, November 14th in the WNMU Fine Arts Theater at 7 PM.

C Street Brass is the project of five incredibly handsome friends. On stage their brass instruments come alive as they take you on a tour of musical styles you will recognize from the past on into the future. They deliver on their mission to connect music lovers from all walks of life through concert experiences that are energetic and engaging.

During an Ensemble in Residence at Carnegie Mellon University from 2012 – 2015 the group fell in love with the thriving music scene of Pittsburgh, PA where the group is now based. They have been featured in a number of performing arts series around the United States and internationally.

C Street Band is passionately committed to educating and inspiring the next generation of musicians. In 2014, members of C Street Brass developed Beauty Slap, an entirely new band concept combining the sound of classically trained brass with modern electronic dance music. An entirely new genre, thunder funk was created. Often, C Street Brass and Beauty Slap share dual residencies to offer contrasting and complementary perspectives on the current state of entrepreneurship and the business of music.

Individual tickets are $20 and can be purchased in advance at the Pink Store on Bullard, on-line at www.gcconcerts.org or at the door the night of the concert. Children up to age 17 are admitted free of charge.

A special thanks to concert sponsors: WNMU and 1st New Mexico Bank.
