Dug Hill Road – 7:34 a.m.
Fire reported at the Hurley dump [Ed.: Tri-City landfill]/it is in the bay/gate is locked and no one is there/caller advised it was a pretty engulfed fire. Whiskey Creek VFD advised smoke and active flames showing/fire units en route/Fire was cutting the locks. HFD advised BFD and WCFD were cleared of scene (9:41a.m.)

Cliff/Gila Volunteer Fire Department

Friday, Sept. 12

Caller advised power line is arcing onto his tree/advised PNM does not handle it/tree is starting to smolder/tree is 10 feet away from caller's home. Cannot see flames.

Pinos Altos Volunteer Fire Department

Brush fire
4240 N. Swan Street – 11:10 p.m.
Fire possibly started by lightning is getting bigger. PA units responding. E11 – will have units on foot attempting to locate/fire located/contact Grant County Command for UTV/it was a cottonwood tree struck by lightning and they are going to contain it/unable to get an apparatus to it/will monitor it and remove brush and let it burn. PAVFD standing by. Command advised all units released/will have more units back out later today (2:03 a.m. Saturday 9/13/25).

303 Boulder Street – 7:09 p.m.

Fire, other
N. Gold Street – 6:23 a.m.
Caller advised she could see someone starting a fire in the ditch close to the trees/could see the flames but looked like it was dying down.
