LORDSBURG – The Interstate 10 bridge at Exit 24 near Lordsburg has reopened to traffic following the completion of repairs, the New Mexico Department of Transportation announced.

The bridge was closed Friday, March 7, 2025, after a commercial motor vehicle struck the structure. The driver was able to exit the vehicle without injury, but the collision caused significant damage to the bridge deck and other structural components, requiring closure.

NMDOT thanks the traveling public for its patience while funding was secured, a contractor was selected, and necessary repairs were completed to safely reopen the bridge.
