Galanti will survey the contemporary social history of the different styles of Jazz and how they have become mainstream to a lesser or greater degree over time. He will show how he has come to adapt them in order to stay marketable in today's music scene, and how he adapts mallet instruments that are performed so rarely by most musicians these days.
