NuestraVozReflecting on a Milestone

What a remarkable day May 17th turned out to be. The opening of our "Nuestra Voz: The Chihuahua Hill Story" exhibit was more than just an unveiling – it was a celebration of community, memory, and the power of shared stories.

Over four years in the making, this project represents something truly special: a community coming together to preserve and honor its own narrative of the Chihuahua Hill neighborhood.

This isn't a limited-time experience – "Nuestra Voz" is here to stay as a long-term exhibit, giving everyone the opportunity to connect with these important stories.

Visit us in person, or explore www.silvercitymuseum.org where you can dive into four years of research and listen to oral histories from the voices of current and past residents themselves.

Also, we're still collecting stories. Do you know or have an auntie, grandma, neighbor, or someone who grew up in Chihuahua Hill? Contact our curator Javier Marrufo at 575-597-0229 or at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
