Athena Wolf will explain how an awareness of the cycles of Nature helps us to intuitively understand the ebb and flow of the Universe and our own nature.

"We'll look at the air, water and blood tides of the moon; the 11-year cycles of the sun and how that affects us as well as the calendars of the ancient Vedas and the Maya," Wolf said.

"Observing the rhythm of the planets and stars can bring balance and harmony into our lives," she added.

Athena Wolf has been practicing Ayurveda for decades with a focus on treating chronic disease. She is currently writing an encyclopedic book on Ayurvedic treatments.  She is the Maestra of the international school for healers known as La Escuela de Curanderismo and is the executive director of Quetzalcoatl Temple.

"This nonprofit entity gifts our neighbors in Grant County with medicinal plants and heirloom vegetables. It also maintains a botanical garden in Arenas Valley and does scientific research to benefit New Mexico farmers," Wolf said.

Children are welcome to participate on any Sunday, but they will get the most out of the program if they attend second and fourth Sundays somewhat regularly. Family adults may stay for the children's program or attend the adult program. Children are encouraged to bring a small item that represents someone or something they are grateful for that week.
