PORTALES, N.M. – Eastern New Mexico University has partnered with New Mexico-based Rio Bravo Brewing Co. to launch a new, officially licensed beer: Rooing Hound Brew.

This exciting collaboration brings a refreshing new beverage to market that celebrates the spirit and mascot of ENMU, the Greyhound.

Born in the heart of New Mexico and brewed for the bold, Rooing Hound Brew captures the spirit of the Greyhound—fast, fearless, and full of fight. This beer runs smoothly from the first sip to the last drop with a crisp, clean finish and just the right bite.

The beer can design was created by ENMU graphic artist and alumna Samantha Molina. It prominently features a Greyhound "rooing," which is the unique and endearing vocalization Greyhounds are known for.

"We are honored to partner with Rio Bravo Brewing Company on this project," said James Johnston, ENMU Chancellor. "We appreciate their support of Eastern New Mexico University in creating this unique beer and co-branding with us."

"The Rooing Hound Lager is more than a beer—it's a celebration of community, tradition, and unleashed energy. Whether you're tailgating on game day or swapping stories under the desert sky, this is the brew that keeps the pack together," said Lindsey Baker, Head of Brewing and Operations at Rio Bravo Brewing. "Rio Bravo Brewing Company is honored to present to you the first Eastern New Mexico University official beer. Rooing Hound Brew—this is the taste of Greyhound pride, unleashed."
