Belisario was born April 17, 1933 in Deming, NM to Belisario Alvarez Sr. and Perfecta Molinar. Belisario was a Korean War Veteran and served between 1953 – 1955. He was a Untied States Army Corporal and served as an Artillery Gunman. After his service to our county was over, he met and married Mary Correa and spent the remainder of his life of 63 years of marriage until her passing on October 30, 2021. They raised six children together, and lived a very peaceful and quiet life together. Belisario followed his fathers' footsteps and earned a job with the City of Deming in the Utility Department as a Supervisor for over 35 years. During his employment with the City of Deming he was well known to have his little fur companion riding along with him in which was his little white chihuahua, Easter.

AlvarezBelisario2Belisario had a very strong work ethic and became a volunteer fireman for 10 years, and also worked for the police department in investigations for 5 years. After his retirement in 1988, a year later entered the work force for another 5 years with Steer Safe Manufacturers, in which he finally retired and became a homebody and enjoyed spending time with his family, watching football, Casa Cerrados, and the hummingbirds outside the window where he sat comfortably in his reclining chair. Belisario was a wiz at math and had a very good memory in remembering everyone's birthday of those that he knew. He could make friends very easily and always enjoyed making good conversation with anyone and everyone. He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his children, Dolores (George) Estrada-Noble, Alexandra (Sam) Vigil, Henrietta E. Correa, Henry (Catherine) Estrada, and Dominque Rose Alvarez (Robert Anthony Alcala); a brother, Manuel (Hortencia) Alvarez; 9 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
