Bryan Porcher passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas.
A memorial service will be held for Bryan and Pat Porcher on January 23, 2026, 1pm at First United Methodist Church in Deming.
Bryan was born on Dec. 6, 1931 in Deming to Frank Smith and Margarette Bryan Porcher.
His childhood was on the family ranch at Cedar Grove, south of Gage, NM.
He attended Deming schools until he transferred to New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, NM. There he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business in 1952. He enlisted in the Army upon finishing school. On June 4, 1952 he married his best friend and love of his life, Pat Horton. Together they moved to Elizabethtown, Kentucky while he served in the military.
They had 3 children, Frank Bryan, Joseph Allen and Phyllis Annette.
After his military service, they returned to the ranch south of Gage to do what he loved best, ranching. He was employed by EPNG for 10 years until he left to ranch full time.
In 1965 the family operation moved to the POL Ranch east of Columbus, NM. A lot of work went into windmills, corrals and such to restore it to a successful ranch.
In 1973 the POL was sold. Bryan and Pat opened Bryan Porcher Real Estate. It was a success and each year at Christmas they would host an Open House with all of Deming invited for the best food and desserts imaginable.
Bryan and Pat were married for 73 years, until her death on Aug. 1, 2025
Bryan is survived by his children, Bryan Porcher II (Carole), Joe Porcher, and Phyllis Porcher Griffin (Brad). His grandchildren, Misty Griffin Baldwin (Jonathan), William Griffin (Shanon Woodruff), Matt Griffin (Taryn), Kyle Porcher (Tammy), Ashley Porcher, Brittany Porcher Long (Andrew),Stephany Porcher Chastine (Preston), Nathan Porcher (Yesenia), Whittney Porcher, and Joshua Porcher.
Great grandchildren, Jacqueline Crawford (Gilbert), Alexandra Parra, Gage Farmer, Nolan Griffin, Dalton Porcher, Makayla Hernandez, Jaden Hernandez, Emma Long, Jenna Long, Emerson Chastine, Harvey Chastine, Lyndon Chastine, and Ethan Porcher.
Great great grandchildren, Skye Anno, Lily Baldwin, Phoenix Baldwin, Rebecka Lopez and Sebastian Garcia.
Nephews, Jim Porcher (Ron), Paul Porcher, Bill Porcher (Barbara and daughter Lauren), Jason Haack (Lucy and daughters Eden and Adelaide)
Niece, Kama Haack Henderson (Tommy, son Cael, daughter Teagan)
Bryan was preceded in death by his wife Pat Porcher, parents Frank and Margarette Porcher, his brother Jim Porcher, sister Trish Porcher and grandson Frank Bryan Porcher III.
