DavilaRobertRobert Eugene Serna Davila, 72 of Albuquerque, formerly of Silver City passed away May 11, 2025 in Albuquerque.

Visitation for Robert will be from 4 to 6 pm on Friday, May 23, 2025 at Baca's Funeral Chapels.  The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 9:30 am on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at St. Francis Newman Center.  The Funeral Liturgy will follow immediately thereafter.  The Rite of Committal and burial will follow at Pinos Altos Cemetery.  Military honors will be accorded.  Officiating will be Father Ephraim Ezulike. Those having the honor of being casket bearers will be Sean Davila, Jason Davila, Damien Morales, Damien Cates, Charles Sanchez, and Mike Davila. 

Robert was born July 1, 1952 in Silver City to Antonio and Connie Davila.  He had enlisted in the United Staes Navy from which he retired from after 23 years of service.  From there he went on to work at United States Postal Service and retired from there as well. 

Robert had been away from Silver City moving to Alburquerque in 1991.  Robert loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and spending time with his horse. In his spare time, he enjoyed working and creating with leather.  But most of all Robert enjoyed being with his family, spending time with his children and grandchildren.    

Robert is survived by his wife, Shannon; one daughter, Aimee Davila (Gabriel); two sons, Robert Sean Davila (Cynthia), and Jason D. Davila (Gloria); one brother, Mike Davila; five sisters, Susie Medina (Johnny), Elizabeth Davila, Carmen Davila, Rose Davila (Mando) and Linda Davila.  Also surviving Robert are his four grandchildren, Alyssa Morales, Zoe Davila Cates, Damien Gus Morales, and Mia Morales.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Connie Davila as well as a brother, Kenny Davila.
