Silver City, NM (April 28, 2023) — Gila Regional Medical Center (GRMC) recognizes both the GRMC Foundation and GRMC Auxiliary teams for their efforts in helping to make the community hospital an exceptional place for our patients and employees.

The GRMC Foundation supports the hospital through various fundraising strategies to assist with specific needs, administrates endowed scholarships for students in the medical field, and provides overall support in the community by encouraging donor gifting. Recently, the Foundation contributed $50,000 towards GRMC's new DEXA scanner. The Foundation is also planning over $100,000 in giving towards hospital improvement projects as well various activities within Grant County to benefit GRMC. For any questions or to work with the organization, please contact Vladimir Gnilozubov, GRMC Foundation President at (575) 956-9987 or via email at vladimir.gnilozubov@edwardsjones.com.

The GRMC Auxiliary provides support services to patients, families, visitors, the hospital staff, and the community including the hospital gift shop, front desk information services, their Cancer Center assistance program, and much more. In April, the Auxiliary presented GRMC with a check for $76,500 to help fund state-of-the-art fetal monitoring equipment and carts, which are used to ensure the safety of 270 mothers and new babies every year. The Auxiliary has also provided 25 scholarships over the last two years to support recipients pursuing degrees in a medical field. To contact the GRMC Auxiliary with any questions, or to become a member, call (575) 538-4074.

"Gila Regional Medical Center is very thankful for the tremendous dedication of our incredible volunteers," Chief Financial Officer, Patrick Banks said. "Their efforts and resiliency are both inspiring and extremely valuable to the hospital and our community."
