Part-time Programs Assistant (Grant-funded position)
REPORTS TO: Youth Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition Coordinator

PAY SCALE: $8-$11 hourly DOQ

POSITION SUMMARY: Assist in the implementation of the grant-funded Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition environmental strategies within Grant County; accountable for timely, tactful, and accurate performance of variety of secretarial and administrative duties.

POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS

SPECIFIC CERTIFICATION AND/OR LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
New Mexico Class D driver €™s license with acceptable driving record preferred.

EDUCATION-MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Student (high school or college) or community member interested in community outreach and youth advocacy.

EXPERIENCE-MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in research and writing grants preferred; experience in marketing, communication, graphic design desired; knowledge of the Hispanic and/or rural cultures; experience in data-entry, advertising, research, note-taking, website maintenance, public speaking, telephone etiquette, and Microsoft Office Suite.

ABILITIES-MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to stand, walk frequently for up to one hour; sitting frequently for periods greater than six hours; lifting and carrying items frequently weighing under 25 pounds; to communicate, speak and hear within normal range.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Organize office operation and procedures, control and route correspondence, maintain filing system; perform research and field inquiries from stakeholders, community members and other partners; attend monthly YSAPC meetings, taking notes and transcribing them; create meeting reminders; research and assist in grant-writing; timely completion of other duties assigned.

NOTE: Position is contingent on Drug Free Community Grant Funding
