Band-Aid "Solutions" Designed to Help Poll Numbers, Not Families
Washington, D.C. – For the third time in less than six months, President Biden is tapping America's Strategic Oil Reserve to cover for his failed energy policies. The President is now aiming to shatter his own record for the largest drain on the reserve by releasing 180 million barrels of emergency supply, one third of the 550 million barrels available. This latest action comes during an election year and after President Biden issued numerous executive orders surrendering American energy independence.

Tuesday is National Vietnam War Veterans Day—the day our nation observes every year on March 29 to thank and honor our nation's Vietnam War veterans and their families for their service and sacrifice.
According to the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), the Vietnam War occurred from November 1, 1955, to April 30, 1975. America initially served as military advisors to South Vietnam in its defense against communist-backed North Vietnam but began its military involvement in the Vietnam War in February 1961.
More than nine million Americans served in the United States Armed Forces during the Vietnam War. Of this total, 2.7 million served in Southeast Asia, where more than 300,000 American service members were injured, and 58,318 killed in action—including 399 from New Mexico. More than 1,500 Americans are still listed as missing in action—including 12 from New Mexico. There are about six million Vietnam War-era veterans alive in America. About 600,000 are those that served in-theater.
Biden Administration Drafting New Defense Production Order to Force Green Agenda

New Backdoor Executive Order Won't Help Struggling Families
Washington, D.C. – In the latest move to circumvent Congress to impose his green agenda, President Biden is reportedly drafting a new order under the Defense Production Act. This latest executive order would aim to boost electric vehicle production while doing nothing to help with massive inflation and skyrocketing gas prices."While Americans are struggling to pay for gas in the Biden economy, the President remains hellbent on imposing his green agenda on an unwilling electorate," said Daniel Turner, Founder and Executive Director for Power The Future. "Joe Biden couldn't get this through Congress, he can't unite NATO, and he definitely can't convince families to spend over $50,000 on a new electric car. In an election year, the President needs to decide if he's only going to please elements of his radical base or help our families, because he can't do both. It's telling how President Biden will sign countless executive orders but he won't lift a finger to help America regain energy independence."
The new order is reportedly in a "pre-decisional" phase and is a possible response to a letter sent by five eco-leftist Senators including Elizabeth Warren (D-MA,) Cory Booker (D-NJ,) and Martin Heinrich (D-NM.)

We Must Commit to American Energy Independence

We must commit to American energy independence by State Rep. Greg Nibert (R-District 59, Chaves and Lincoln Counties)
The mainstream media is engaging in a campaign to blame rising gasoline prices exclusively on Putin's invasion of Ukraine, rather than include the Biden Administration's disastrous monetary and domestic energy policies. Gas prices are complex. Oil prices are complex. Both commodities compete on a global scale. Russia has been funding environmental and anti-fracking groups for years, hampering America's ability to extract and use fossil fuels. The Trump administration's policies encouraged American energy production and the oil and gas industry responded. For the first time in decades, American oil and gas was allowed to be exported.
We have been blessed with abundant and affordable energy, but it is not just by blind luck. We in Southeastern New Mexico know it is hard work and requires many talented individuals to find the reservoirs, develop and utilize technology to drill and complete wells to extract the oil and gas from rocks lying a mile or two below the surface and drilling horizontal distances an additional one to two miles (and now beyond that), and then to transport production to locations where it can be refined into products useful to us.
NM needs Santa Fe to address the root cause of skyrocketing energy prices

House Republican Caucus Chair, State Representative Rebecca Dow (Truth or Consequences) on the upcoming special session and proposed rebates.
Our country, and New Mexico in particular, are in the midst of a serious energy crisis spurred on by Joe Biden and Michelle Lujan Grisham. Record gasoline prices, home energy prices sky rocketing and most recently, the potential for brownouts in Albuquerque this summer. Regardless of whether you are a homeowner, renter, small business owner, or employee, the cost simply to live has suddenly gotten much more expensive. The situation has gotten so bad legislators are going to be called in for a special session to give every tax filer in the state a rebate to help offset the spike in energy prices.
On its face this sounds like a good idea. State coffers are flush with cash right now because of the increased price of oil, so the state can certainly afford to help New Mexicans feeling the weight of higher costs. Some are even arguing for an Alaskan-style dividend for every resident of the state. A system in which people are given a certain number of dollars from oil and gas revenues yearly.

Climate Czar Kerry Prioritizes Agenda Over Struggling Families
Washington, D.C. – As working families all over the country struggle with skyrocketing inflation and massive energy prices, there is one question many ask: why won't the Biden Administration do more to ramp up American energy production? Sadly, recent comments and actions out of Washington, D.C. show how the Biden Administration cares more about advancing their green agenda, no matter the cost.
Power The Future, a non-profit advocating for American energy workers, is releasing a new video highlighting comments made by Biden's Climate Czar John Kerry. In the video, we learn how the Biden Administration prioritizes their radical climate agenda above the war in Ukraine and the current energy crisis.
Time for New Mexico's Democrats to get serious about energy and climate

There are many things that make New Mexico unique, but one of the most noteworthy political nuances is the State's deep and unusual relationship with energy. New Mexico's Democratic politicians love the money and jobs generated by the traditional energy industry, but also wish to be seen as pushing back against it to placate their environmentalist base.
Nonetheless, New Mexico, a state blessed with all sorts of energy resources (both traditional as well as wind and solar) has continued to embrace Democrat politicians despite the Party's leftward shift on energy in recent years. With oil prices skyrocketing and electricity reliability in question, it is time for voters to demand sensible energy policies from politicians.
The Russian invasion of Ukraine caused gasoline prices to jump dramatically after having risen throughout Joe Biden's time in the White House (due in part to his anti-energy policies and rhetoric). And, while there are limited things to be done in the short term, in the intermediate and longer term, former New Mexican and Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland should be a pivotal figure in addressing America's energy issues. Instead, she is nowhere to be found.
Instead of Solutions, House Hearing Nothing More Than Cheap Political Deflection

70% of Americans Disapprove of President Biden's Handling of Gas Prices
Washington, D.C. – In an effort to deflect from their own failures, leaders in Congress are working overtime to escape responsibility for the surrender of American energy independence. Instead of working to get American energy workers back on the job, leaders of the House Energy and Commerce Committee will hold a hearing to place blame on American oil companies.
"The same liberal politicians whose policies cost us energy independence are getting desperate and turning to cheap political stunts," said Larry Behrens, Communications Director for Power The Future. "The American people know the solution to massive prices is more domestic energy production, not feigned outrage from politicians who are worried about polls more than solutions. If they are truly concerned with soaring gas prices, the left would cease with the sheer insanity, stop the sham hearings and work with the private sector to produce more supply instead of their ceaseless demonization."
