Silver City, NM — Step back to 1947 for a holiday party unlike any other! TheActrix Studio presents It's a Killer Life, an interactive murder-mystery dinner theater set in the small upstate New York town of Bellows Falls, just one year after the film It's a Wonderful Life lit up America's screens. Performances will be held Friday, October 24th at the Murray Hotel Ballroom with proceeds benefiting the Gila Regional Medical Center Foundation, supporting the Nurses, EMT's and the Cancer Center and its vital work for patients and families across Grant County. There will be a silent auction throughout the event with items from generous community businesses including a Holland American Cruise. The event is produced by Wendy Spurgeon, founder of TheActrix Studio LLC, and directed by Kimber Etheredge.
The Story
Monique and StevenThe citizens of Bellows Falls are gathering at Martini's Place for the annual town celebration when shocking events unfold. Mary Hatch Bailey is struggling to save her late father's suit factory from being taken over by ruthless Henry Putter, Jr. (never call him Junior!). Meanwhile, George Bailey is lost in his own failures, Violet Bick is chasing dreams of stardom (and George), and Mary is at her breaking point. Enter Clarese Oddbody, a quirky would-be angel (or escaped asylum patient?) determined to prove that life is worth living.
But when Putter turns up dead, every guest is a suspect. With secrets, jealousies, and betrayals simmering beneath the town's festive cheer, the mystery deepens. Who killed him? And will the Bailey family — and Bellows Falls — ever be the same?

Mary Hatch Bailey – Strong, smart, heartbroken, and furious — a woman on the edge….played by Erin Griffith.
Clarese Oddbody, AS2 – An eccentric "angel second class"…or a delusional woman who might kill to earn her wings….played by Linda Bluestone.
Harry Bailey – George's war-hero brother with a temper — and secrets that tie him to Putter….played Cody Dance.
Phyllis, Cody, Steven and EddyRuth Dakin Bailey – Harry's new bride, desperate to return to a life of luxury in Buffalo…played by Chrissie Sauders.
Violet Bick – A glamorous would-be starlet, always in George's orbit — and Mary's crosshairs….played by Catarina Miranda.
Uncle Billy – Sweet but bumbling, guilt-ridden over Peter Hatch's death and fiercely protective of Mary….played by Will Larsen.
Bert the cop: George's good friend. He'll have the worst theories in the world re: this mystery. Uh, he may be a cop but he ain't necessarily a smart one….played by Eddy Kerr.
Almira Sessions: Putter's harried, obsessive-compulsive secretary. She is at his beck and call. And she is in love with him. Go figure…played by Phyllis McQuaide.
Cousin Eustace: Eustace is one of George's maiden cousins. She works for Hatch Manufacturing. Eustace is a gossip….played by Monique Reyes
This ensemble cast of 11 brings the post-war world of 1947 to life with costumes, intrigue, and plenty of audience interaction.
