The 111th Bazaar held at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Silver City is over for another year. The annual bazaar, with sporadic events before 1904, has been held continuously since then. Goods for sale included original handmade jewelry; homemade cookies, cakes and pies; secondhand items, including a table full of Christmas decorations; handmade goods from Mexico; and gently used clothing. Although space for eating was limited, the freshly made omelettes to order, the fresh coffee and soup and sandwiches kept the kitchen crew busy, with people waiting for places to sit.
Jill Olson, organizer of this year's event, said the proceeds go to the community and to the church.
