In celebration of our 90th anniversary, the Rotary Club of Silver City is holding a contest to redesign the club’s Rotary banner. Grant County is full of creative people, so we have opened this to the community to use their creativity in making this new banner design. The winning design, to be chosen by a committee of members of the Rotary Club of Silver City, will receive up to $500.  We will announce the winner at the Rotary Club’s October 29, 2013 luncheon meeting.

Here are the rules:
The banner design must incorporate the Rotary International logo. Only one entry per person. Designs should incorporate some regional elements such as flora, fauna, landscape, mining, history, New Mexico, etc. Final banners will be 8 ½” wide x 11” tall. Submissions may be created any way you like, i.e., graphic, painting, photograph, collage—so let your creative juices flow.  The contest is open to Grant County residents who are not Rotary members or their families.

Attach your name, age and contact information (phone number, mailing and email address, etc.) to your submission.  The deadline for you to submit your design is midnight on Friday, October 18, 2013.  The selected artwork shall become the property of the Rotary Club of Silver City.

Print ready files need to be submitted as a 300 dpi High-resolution jpeg via email to bannercontest@silvercityrotary.org. If you have a non-electronic design (i.e. painting, mosaic etc.), you may drop it off at United Country Mimbres Realty, c/o Georgia Bearup, 414 N. Bullard Street, Silver City, NM, by October 18, 2013 between 9 and 5 weekdays.

If you have questions, e-mail us at bannercontest@silvercityrotary.org or call Mark Richard, (575) 537-5988.  On your mark, get set, draaaaw, or… do what you do best.
