Ruth Hamby will be the featured artist on Friday, August 21, at the Grant County Art Guild's Pinos Altos Art Gallery located at 14 Golden Avenue in Pinos Altos. Ruth's chosen media are oils and watercolors. Her art work is distinctive and some say reflective of her strong personality.
Roz Springer, another outstanding artist, will be featured and showing her special exhibit at the gallery on Saturday, August 22. Roz is known for her architectural flair, love of outdoors, the Southwest and far away places. Her paintings in both oil and watercolor even seem to capture the temperature and sounds of the scenes she paints. Come to the gallery this Saturday and see what new creations Roz has to offer.
On Sunday,August 23, one of the Guild's favorite crafters, Jan Wagner, will be at the gallery with an array of her popular fabric baskets and other creative pieces. Jan's unique and clever found-art and mixed media crafts continue to be best sellers at the gallery.
The Grant County Art Guild is a nonprofit organization of local artists and fine crafters who come together to show and sell their work at the Pinos Altos Art Gallery in the historic Hearst Church in Pinos Altos. There are 40-plus members of the guild this year, most of them showing a sampling of their work at the gallery. This seasonal gallery is open to the public from 10 a.m. till 5 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and major holidays through October 18. Also, mark your calendar for 5:30, Tuesday, September 22, for the opening reception for the 30th Annual Purchase Prize Award Exhibit. Great art and artists will gather!
