The Grant County Art Guild is a nonprofit organization of local artists and fine crafters who come together to show and sell their work. The Guild's seasonal venue is at the Pinos Altos Art Gallery, located at 14 Gold Avenue in the historic Hearst Church in Pinos Altos. Only about seven miles from Silver City, this unique gallery is filled with a wide variety of arts and crafts and welcomes both browsers and buyers.
On Friday, September 11, and Saturday, September 12, the featured artist at the Pinos Altos Art Gallery will be Jerry Howell. Jerry's art includes working with pen and ink, colored pencil, egg tempura and acrylics. He is versatile in his subject matter but some of his most appreciated pieces are his architectural drawings. They have won the praises of visitors to the gallery as well as judges of the Guild's shows. Come see what Jerry will have for his special showing this weekend.
Ginna Heiden will be hosting the gallery on Sunday, September 13, with a special showing of her art. Ginna's landscapes and other paintings are a true testimony of her talent as an artist. Stop in and see what new she has to offer. She has been a blue ribbon winner in Guild shows!
Take a little drive to Pinos Altos this weekend and you can see special exhibits of our featured artists, plus the exceptional work of many of the 40-plus Guild member artists and fine crafters. The Pinos Altos Art Gallery is overflowing with paintings, photography, metal sculpture, pottery, fabric art and much, much more. The gallery is open from 10 a.m. till 5 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and major holidays through October 18.
