August 10, at 10:00 am, 3845 North Swan Street – "Heidi Ogas "Breaking Bread and Forming Community"
Heidi Ogas will share a bit about the history of bread and how "Breaking Bread" brings people together forming community. She is asking for your participation.
"Please bring some sort of bread, crackers, cookies or pastries to share that have some sort of significance in your life. Maybe it was bread you ate as a child, or a generational recipe. Maybe something modern such as Gluten free products that changed your life by enabling you to eat bread again. These goodies can be homemade, or store bought," Ogas said.
Bearers of goodies will be asked, if they are willing and able, to share a short story of why this treat has meaning to them. If you are unable to bring a goodie but have a story to share about a treat that has meaning in your life, you will not be excluded from community. You can also share your story. After service, we will gather for breaking and tasting of the wonderful sustenance.
