I-10/Avenida de Mesilla and NM-28 Las Cruces, NM
    NMDOT along with La Calerita Construction has begun construction with lane restrictions posted along NM-28 between Hickory Drive and Lakeside Drive (mile marker 29.5 to 29.1). The contractor is moving forwarded as scheduled with the reconstruction of the bridge on Interstate-10 and Avenida de Mesilla (exit 141), which includes new ascending and descending ramps for this interchange.
    The contractor will be closing the eastbound I-10 on-ramp at exit 141 affective Monday July 29, 2013 at 6:00 a.m., and will remain closed until early October of 2013. Detours will be posted alerting motorists of alternate routes on University and Motel Blvd. The public will have full access on Interstate 10 for all east and westbound traffic.
    Utility work will commence Monday July 29, 2013 on Lakeside Drive at the intersection of NM-28, which should not interfere with any service.

US-60 Magdalena, NM
    The NMDOT will start roadwork on US-60 at mile marker 117-130. Working operations will begin at 6:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Traffic control will have lane closures and will use a pilot car to escort motorists through the work zone. The contractor may have to adjust their work schedule to incorporate the weekends, should they encounter bad weather. Motorists will encounter minor delays during working hours, and are encouraged to obey traffic notifications.

US-70/Picacho Avenue, Las Cruces, NM
The NMDOT and Star Paving will continue operations on US-70/Picacho Avenue. Traffic will have intermittent lane closures on the east and westbound throughout the project. Business owners and residents will still have access to Picacho the traveling public may encounter delays, due to movement of heavy equipment. Motorists are advised to proceed with extreme caution.

US-70 Del Rey Blvd. to NASA Exit, Las Cruces, NM
The NMDOT with Smith and Aguirre Construction continue construction along US-70 from Brahman Road to NASA. The contractor will be raising the median drop inlets going EB and will have the inside lane closed with the addition of the inside shoulder on Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. On Monday they will continue operations by switching to the WB lanes. Daily operations will be from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday through Wednesday. Motorists are encouraged to proceed with caution and to obey traffic control notifications.

NM-9, Animas, NM
    The NMDOT will be conducting chip seal maintenance work on NM-9 between mile markers 16-28. Working operations will start at 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. daily except on Friday it will be 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., these operations will continue until Thursday August 1, 2013. Traffic control will use a pilot truck to help the traveling motorist through the work zone. Motorists are to expect delays and proceed with extreme caution. 

NM-28 Anthony, NM
    The NMDOT will continue maintenance work on NM-28 between mile markers 0-14. Working operations will start at 7:00 a.m. and last until 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Motorists should be prepared to stop during these working hours as traffic control will have flagging operations at each end of the work zone.

NM-136/ NM-273 Anthony, NM
The NMDOT along with C.F. Jordan Construction, LLC will continue roadway rehabilitation on NM-136. Operations will start at 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. daily. The contractor will proceed with milling and inlay operations throughout various locations on NM-136. The WB driving lane is closed at mile marker 4.5 to continue construction for the intersection of Strauss Rd/NM-136. In addition, starting at mile marker 6 until the Texas State line the WB shoulder lane will continue to be closed, until the completion of the project. There is an 11’ wide width restriction throughout this project along with a 45 MPH speed limit set in the construction zone.
On NM-273 the contractor will continue to work on mile marker 6.5 to 7 along the shoulder and multi-use path. There will be recurrent SB shoulder and driving lane closures at various locations. Shoulder work will be throughout the project at various locations, please proceed with caution and obey traffic notifications.

Las Cruces Projects – City of Las Cruces

Alameda Boulevard
From Lohman Avenue through South Main Street will be closed to through traffic. Access to businesses will be maintained. Motorists wanting to get to businesses can do so by following the detours in place. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed through the construction zone and should proceed with caution. Motorists using this road as a through route only should seek alternate routes if available.

Northrise Drive
From Rinconada Boulevard to Roadrunner Parkway will have intermittent right lane closures for east bound traffic.  Access to businesses will be maintained. Motorists wanting to get to businesses can do so by following the detours in place. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed through the construction zone and should proceed with caution. Motorists using this road as a through route only should seek alternate routes if available.

Rinconada Boulevard
From Sonoma Ranch Boulevard to Northrise will have intermittent right lane closures for north bound traffic.  Access to businesses will be maintained. Motorists wanting to get to businesses can do so by following the detours in place. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed through the construction zone and should proceed with caution. Motorists using this road as a through route only should seek alternate routes if available.

Sonoma Ranch Blvd
From Monte Sombra to Thurmond Road will have shoulder work and potential lane closures.  Access to residents will be maintained. Motorists wanting to get to residents can do so by following the detours in place. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed through the construction zone and should proceed with caution. Motorists using this road as a through route only should seek alternate routes if available.

Telshor Boulevard and Commerce Drive
At their intersection will have shoulder work and alternating lane closures.  Access to businesses will be maintained. Motorists wanting to get to businesses can do so by following the detours in place. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed through the construction zone and should proceed with caution. Motorists using this road as a through route only should seek alternate routes if available.

Telshor Boulevard
From University Avenue to Terrace Drive will have intermittent right lane closures for north bound traffic.  Access to businesses and residents will be maintained. Motorists wanting to get to businesses and residents can do so by following the detours in place. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed through the construction zone and should proceed with caution. Motorists using this road as a through route only should seek alternate routes if available.

Thurmond Road
From McGuffey Road to Sonoma Ranch Blvd will have shoulder work and potential lane closures.  Access to residents will be maintained. Motorists wanting to get to residents can do so by following the detours in place. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed through the construction zone and should proceed with caution. Motorists using this road as a through route only should seek alternate routes if available.

Three Crosses
From Alameda Blvd. to Spitz Road will have intermittent lane closures.  Access to businesses and residents will be maintained. Motorists wanting to get to businesses and residents can do so by following the detours in place. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed through the construction zone and should proceed with caution. Motorists using this road as a through route only should seek alternate routes if available.
