New Mexicans Must Enroll by December 15, 2014 for Health Coverage Beginning January 1, 2015

Albuquerque, NM – BeWellNM, New Mexico's Health Insurance Exchange, encourages New Mexicans looking for affordable qualified health plans to begin the open enrollment process now in order to have their coverage begin by January 1, 2015. The 2015 Open Enrollment Period is in full swing, and although the Open Enrollment process runs through February 15, 2015, New Mexicans who want coverage beginning January 1, 2015 must complete the enrollment process by December 15, 2014.

BeWellNM is the only place that individuals can get access to a tax credit to lower monthly premium costs. "You may find plans that cost less, cover more services that are important to you, or work better for you and your family," says BeWellNM's CEO, Amy Dowd. For example, in a two-parent household where both parents are 40 years old, with two children and a combined household income of $60,000, they would be eligible for a $118 tax credit per month. They would be able to buy a plan for their whole family for $280 per month.

BeWellNM has more than 500 certified Agents, Brokers and Enrollment Counselors available across the state at no cost to the consumer with English and Spanish capabilities. To find assistance visit the BeWellNM website (http://www.bewellnm.com/were-here-to-help/) or call the BeWellNM contact center which is open 7 days a week at 1-855-99-NMHIX (1-855-996-6449).

BeWellNM has also opened an Enrollment and Assistance Center (The Center) located at 2301 San Pedro NE, Suite A in Albuquerque. The Center is available for New Mexicans to drop-by without an appointment to learn more about their options and get help enrolling in affordable coverage for themselves and their families through the Exchange. In addition to The Center, BeWellNM and its enrollment and outreach partners will be holding enrollment events across the state. New Mexico residents can visit the BeWellNM website www.BeWellNM.com/calendar  for specific information on enrollment events.
