I-25/Missouri Bridge - Las Cruces
The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) along with FNF Construction (Contractor) continues work along I-25 southbound and the roadway enhancements on the intersections of Missouri Ave for Triviz Drive and Don Roser Drive. Bixby Electric along with FNF will need to continue with the installation of the electrical lines for the new traffic signalization that will be placed at these intersections.

The work scheduled for Missouri Ave. between Triviz Dr and Don Roser Dr will be as follows:

  • Beginning Monday August 17, 2015 through Thursday, August 20, 2015 each night from the hours of 8:00 pm to 6:00 am. Complete Road closure of Missouri between Don Roser and Triviz will be required in order to remove the bridge overhangs as well as complete all diagram work on the bridge.

FNF will be performing subgrade operations on Triviz; North and South of Missouri in order to pave the new widening sections. New sidewalks located on the southwest and southeast corners of Don Roser will also be completed this week along with all grading operations in preparation for paving.

A section of Don Roser Drive is CLOSED for 30 days effective Sunday July 26th at 6:00 am until the end of business on Sunday August 23, 2015. The restrictions are from Fairway Drive to Missouri Ave in order for FNF to remove the existing roadway, sidewalk curb and gutter; FNF will then begin to reconstruct the new roadway, sidewalk, backfilling of retaining wall & curb and gutter.

Motorists will be alerted of detours within the work zone and are advised to seek an alternate route. The contractor will be performing work on two separate driveway entrances where businesses and residents will be notified as this may impact motorists. The contractors work schedule will be for the week of August 17 Monday through Friday, August 21 from 6:00 am until 6:00 pm.

FNF will continue with their daily operations on I-25 and bridge work around the southbound overpass. Motorists will encounter lane restrictions on I-25 for north and southbound traffic.

The next Public Meeting will be Wednesday August 26, 2015 which will start promptly at 6:00 pm at the NMDOT Las Cruces Complex located at 750 N. Solano.

I-10/Union Bridge-University - Las Cruces
The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) along with La Calerita Construction continues with work at the I-10/Ramp E bridge and the I-10/Union Ave. Bridge in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

La Calerita Construction will be removing the existing bridge as per the schedule itemized below. Detour signing will be in place to guide the motorists through and around the work zone.

The work scheduled for I/10 and Union Ave. Closure is as follows:

  • Beginning at 5:00 am on Saturday, August 15, 2015 through Monday, August 17, 2015 at 6:00 am.

It is anticipated that the removal of the existing bridge (and associated closure of Union Ave under I-10) will be completed on the above referenced dates. In the event that additional bridge removal work becomes necessary, work may continue on August 22nd & 23rd.

Northbound Union Avenue traffic will be detoured via Stern east to Cholla Rd. / Broadmoor Rd., north to Sam Steel Way, then west to Union Avenue to get the traffic around the work zone. Southbound traffic will need to utilize the same detour traveling in the opposite direction.

Detour signing will also be in place for using the University Avenue to South Main Street detour to get around the work zone.

The I-10 EB ramp at Valley Drive is closed. Access to I-10 EB is detoured to Conway Avenue off South Main.

I-25 - Socorro, NM
The NMDOT with Villalobos Construction are currently replacing guardrail and performing bridge repair work to the off ramp to Socorro at exit 147. Motorists do not have access over the bridge, where detours are posted alerting motorists of the work zone. Please proceed with caution.

I-25, Socorro, NM - Bridge Repair
The NMDOT with Villalobos Construction are currently repairing bridge from mile maker 80.2 to 81.7 with one lane closed in each direction 24/7. Please use caution.

N. Main/US 70 - Las Cruces
The NMDOT with G. Sandoval Construction have traffic control devices stationed along N. Main/US 70 from E. Greening Ave to just north of Madrid Street. Traffic will all be shifted over to the west bound lanes in order to begin placing the median islands. Motorists may encounter a 4-Way stop at Madrid intersection.

NM 460 - Anthony, NM
NMDOT and Smith and Aguirre are working on installing a storm culvert drain pipe under NM 460 from Miller Street to Landers Drive. The contractor will construct a pond beside the Community Development Center, along with mill and inlay from New Mexico/Texas state line to O ¡ ¦Harra Road/NM 460. The project will also have new ADA compliant features such as sidewalks with landing and turnouts along NM 460.

NM 90/Hudson Street Bridge - Silver City
New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) with Interstate Highway Construction (IHC) have CLOSED all access over the NM 90/Hudson Street Bridge. The NMDOT and IHC continue with the construction of the bridge overpass. The contractor has installed various notifications alerting motorists of the closures. In addition, the NMDOT will have traffic control advising motorists that the county Tuck Bypass route will be available. The San Vicente Trail will be closed at Corbin Street along with South Mill Road, and under the bridge.

On Bypass Road, the contractor is repairing potholes at various locations throughout the Bypass Road. They have a lane closure with flagging operations.

The next Public Involvement Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday September 9, 2015 at the Grant County Convention Center, 3031 Highway 180 ¡V E, Silver City, NM. The meeting will start promptly at 6:00 pm with members of the NMDOT and IHC will be available to answer any questions the public may have regarding the project.

NM 478 Mesquite to Mesilla, NM
The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) with Paveover Inc. (Contractor) will be working on NM 478 with pilot vehicle and flagging operations. The work will consist of recycling the existing mat in order to aid in extending the longevity of the roadway. Traffic control operations will be Monday to Saturday from 7:00 am until 6:00 pm, and should be complete by the end of August of 2015.

Contractor will be working the southbound shoulder area from Tortugas to Carver from the hours of 9am to 3pm and then be working southbound lanes from mile maker 18.5 to mile marker 0 from the hours of 7am to 4:30pm.

NM 213 Chaparral, NM
The NMDOT along with J & H Supply and Smith and Aguirre Construction will be installing guardrail along NM 213 between mile marker 0 to 6.2 where motorists will encounter lane restriction as a pilot car operation and flagman will be positioned within the work zone. The contractor should be complete by the end of business Monday August 17, 2015 with their working hours Monday to Friday from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm.

New Mexico 11 - Chip Seal
The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will be chip sealing on New Mexico 11, mile markers 26 to 34 (Sunshine to Florida Streets) in Deming, NM. There will be a one lane closure with a pilot vehicle operation.

The work scheduled for New Mexico 11 is as follows:
From 8:30 am to 4:00 pm beginning Wednesday, August 12, 2015 through Friday, August 21, 2015.

Las Cruces Projects - City of Las Cruces
Amador Avenue From McSwain Drive to Archuleta road will have a lane closure. Access to residents and businesses will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed through the construction zone and should proceed with caution.

Azalez Drive
From Holly Drive to the drainage channel will be closed to through traffic. Access to residents will be maintained from adjacent streets. Motorists wanting to get to residents can do so by following the detours in place. Motorists using this road as a through route only should seek alternate routes if available.

Kingsbury Court
From Embassy Drive to end of pavement will be closed to through traffic. Access to residents and businesses will be maintained. Lilac Drive From Lantana Avenue to the drainage channel will be closed to through traffic. Access to residents and businesses will be maintained from adjacent streets. Motorists wanting to get to residents and businesses can do so by following the detours in place. Motorists using this road as a through route only should seek alternate routes if available.

Locust Street
From Missouri Avenue to Rentfrow Avenue will have intermittent lane closures. Access to residents and businesses will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed through the construction zone and should proceed with caution.

Madrid Avenue
At the intersection with US 70/Main Street will be closed to through traffic. Access to residents will be maintained from adjacent streets. Motorists wanting to get to residents can do so by following the detours in place. Motorists using this road as a through route only should seek alternate routes if available.

Powers Drive
Open to through traffic.

Rentfrow Avenue
From Locust Street to Thomas Drive will have intermittent lane closures. Access to residents and businesses will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be asked to decrease speed through the construction zone and should proceed with caution.

Sonoma Ranch Blvd
Open to through traffic.

Topley Avenue
From Cerdardale Drive to cul-de-sac will be closed to through traffic. Access to residents and businesses will be maintained.

Wall Avenue
From Salopek Blvd to Oleta Street will be closed to through traffic. Access to residents will be maintained from adjacent streets. Motorists wanting to get to residents can do so by following the detours in place. Motorists using this road as a through route only should seek alternate routes if available.
