Valle del Sol behavioral health leaving New Mexico in July
SANTA FE – The state of New Mexico has vetted and supports two behavioral health providers: Presbyterian Medical Services and TeamBuilders Behavioral Health to transition services from Valle del Sol of New Mexico, a community behavioral health service organization who announced earlier they are leaving the state and will no longer see clients after July 30, 2021.
New Mexico residents who receive behavioral health services from Valle del Sol in Española and Grants will be encouraged to transition their services to Presbyterian Medical Services to maintain the continuity of care. Residents in all other parts of the state who receive behavioral health services from Valle del Sol will be encouraged to transition their services to TeamBuilders.
“The communities, families, and individuals will be well served by Presbyterian Medical Services and TeamBuilders,” said Dr. Neal Bowen, director of the Behavioral Health Services Division at the New Mexico Human Services Department. “We appreciate the other New Mexico provider agencies who offered their services to fill the gap and who have offered to cooperate and support Presbyterian Medical Services and TeamBuilders in providing a smooth and sustainable transition. We are also grateful to Valle del Sol for their service in New Mexico and for their active collaboration with making this transition successful.”

The Human Services Department provides services and benefits to 1,022,395 New Mexicans through several programs including: the Medicaid Program, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Child Support Program, and several Behavioral Health Services.
