Interstates:

Date St. Business Loop Roundabout Project, T or C CN1101231/32

La Calerita LLC. (Contractor)continues project finalization for the I-25 Business Loop Reconstruction Project in Truth or Consequences. Crews will have intermittent lane closures throughout the project for minor roadway repairs and construction cleanup.  During these activities Date Street will be reduced to one lane throughout the project. Motorists are encouraged to use extra caution in the construction zone, obey lower posted speed limits and allow extra time to reach their destinations. Regular work hours will be 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday although the contractor may work longer hours or on weekends as needed.

I-25 Roadway Rehabilitation Project, Hatch CN1101024

Mountain States Constructors, Inc. (Contractor) will continue a roadway rehabilitation project on Interstate 25 (I-25) from milepost 34(Rincon) to milepost 41(NM 26/Hatch). Drivers can expect lane closures on both the northbound and southbound lanes of I-25 as needed. Overnight lanes closures may be in place for the placement of guardrail, concrete barrier wall and run down repairs. Please reduce your speed and obey traffic control devices. Roadway will be restricted to 12-foot for oversized loads. The contractor’s hours of operation will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the possibility of some weekend work.

I-25 Bridge Replacement Project, Williamsburg CN1100990

El Terrero Construction, LLC. (Contractor) will be continuing construction to replace the bridge at I-25 milepost 75, Broadway Street and NM 187 in Williamsburg. Traffic has been shifted into the northbound lanes with the on/off ramps open, access to the southbound on/off ramps is still closed. Currently crews are working on installation of southbound on/off ramps, bridge and drainage structures. Regular work hours will be 7 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday although the contractor may work longer hours or on weekends as needed. Access will be maintained to all businesses and residences during construction.

I-25 Erosion Control, Mile Markers 35.2, 35.58, 39.24, 42.58, & 43.27 Hatch/Rincon

Kimo Constructors, Inc. (Contractor) will begin work on erosion control along I-25 between Rincon and Hatch. The contractor will be working on the northbound off ramp and Rincon (exit 35), the I-25 northbound ramp will be closed during working hours, please detour through Hatch. I-25 may be reduced to a single lane depending on the work location, drivers should be vigilant for construction signing.  The contractor’s hours of operation are 7:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.

I-25 Guardrail Replacement Project, Mile Marker 159 to 175, Socorro

J-H Supply, Co. (Contractor) will be continuing a guardrail and end treatment project along I-25 in Socorro County from milepost 159 to 175. Motorists can expect lane closures in the northbound lane from 170-175 and the southbound lane from milepost 175-171. Overnight lane closures should be expected. The hours of operation are from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Construction is expected to be completed by Spring 2024. 

I-25 Roadway Rehabilitation Project, Mile Marker 150 to 161, north of Socorro

Mountain States Constructors, Inc. (Contractor) has completed the roadway rehabilitation project on Interstate 25 from milepost 150 (Socorro North) to milepost 161 (Chamizal). No traffic impacts at this time. The contractor’s hours of operation will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

I-25 Landscaping Project, Mile Marker 2.5 to 3.7, Las Cruces LC00360

Grass Masters LLC (Contractor) is continuing a landscaping, curb and gutter, miscellaneous construction, and paving project along I-25 from milepost 3 to milepost 3.7 near Lohman Ave in Las Cruces. Crews will be working on the wall foundations and wall footing along the I-25 northbound interchange and on/off ramp. Most construction will be on the shoulders with little impact to travelers. The contractor’s hours of operation will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

I-25 Bridge Repairs, Mile Marker 117 & 121, South of Socorro CN1101580

Hasse Contracting Co. will be making repairs to the bridges on I-25 at milepost 117 and milepost 121. Traffic can expect daily lane closures on I-25 on the southbound lanes, one lane will remain open. Contractor working hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., traffic control will remain in place 24/7. Use caution for workers and equipment in the area. Repairs are expected to be completed by April 5, 2024.

I-10 Roadway Rehabilitation Project, Mile Marker 0 to 15, Lordsburg CN1102080

Mountain States Constructors, Inc. (Contractor) is excited to announce the $23.3M upcoming roadway rehabilitation project on Interstate 10 from milepost 0 (Arizona Stateline) to milepost 15 (Gary) in Hidalgo County. Beginning Monday, April 1, 2024, and lasting approximately 200 working days drivers can expect various daytime lane closures on both the eastbound and westbound lanes as needed for milling and paving operations. The contractor’s hours of operation will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Overnight lanes closures may be in place for the replacement of the guardrail and concrete wall barrier.

US Roadways:

US 70 Roadway Rehabilitation, Las Cruces

El Terrero Construction, LLC. (Contractor) is continuing a project to make roadway improvements to US 70 North Main Street between Spitz/N. Solano Drive and the intersection of N. Triviz Drive/Elks Drive. Crews have demolished the old bridge and began widening the eastbound lanes of the roadway. The following traffic impacts remain in place, the Alameda Arroyo trail crossing is CLOSED. The intersection of US 70 North Main Street and Elks Drive/N. Triviz Drive has a temporary traffic signal in place. Crews are working on the east side of U.S. 70 North Main Street, with only one lane of traffic open eastbound and two lanes open westbound. ACCESS is provided to ALL businesses during this work. Regular work hours are Monday-Friday 7 a.m.-5 p.m., although the contractor may work longer hours or on weekends if needed. The speed limit will be 35 miles per hour throughout the construction zone. Motorists are encouraged to be patient, expect delays and look out for construction crews and equipment.

US 380 Bridge Rehabilitation, San Antonio

AUI, Inc. (Contractor) will begin working on a bridge rehabilitation project on US 380 between mileposts 1.6 and 1.8 over the Rio Grande River.  The majority of the work will take place under and around the bridge, with no traffic impacts expected.  Drivers are asked to please obey traffic control devices if placed and be on the lookout for workers and/or equipment entering and exiting the roadway. The contractor’s hours of operation will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

State Roadways:

NM 90 Fog Sealing Operations, Lordsburg to Silver City

The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will be Fog Sealing NM 90 from milepost 0 (US70 Intersection) to milepost 45(Silver City). Drivers are asked to please obey traffic control devices if placed and be on the lookout for workers and/or equipment entering and exiting the roadway. Pilot car operations will be in place. Regular work hours will be 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Thursday.

NM 359 Bridge Rehabilitation, Mesilla

AUI, Inc. (Contractor) will continue the bridge rehabilitation project on NM 359 at milepost 1.90 over the Rio Grande.  The majority of the work will take place under and around the bridge, with no traffic impacts expected.  Drivers are asked to please obey traffic control devices if placed and be on the lookout for workers and/or equipment entering and exiting the roadway. The contractor’s hours of operation will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

NM 26 Bridge Rehabilitation, Hatch

La Calerita Construction (Contractor) will continue with bridge rehabilitation work on NM 26 at milepost 47.7 over Interstate 25. The week of March 18th to the 22nd the I-25 northbound off ramp will be closed during working hours, the on ramp will remain open. I-25 may have occasional lanes closures in either the northbound or southbound lanes. Daily working hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

NM 157 Bridge Rehabilitation, Radium Springs

AUI, Inc. (Contractor) will begin working on a bridge rehabilitation project on NM 157 at milepost 0.1 over the Leasburg Canal.  The majority of the work will take place under and around the bridge, with no traffic impacts expected.  Drivers are asked to please obey traffic control devices if placed and be on the lookout for workers and/or equipment entering and exiting the roadway. The contractor’s hours of operation will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

NM 26 Bridge Rehabilitation, Deming/Nutt CN1102010

Meridian Contracting, Inc. (Contractor) has finalized the bridge rehabilitation project on NM 26 “Hatch Hwy” at milepost 26.8 near Nutt. All lanes are expected to be open for the next week. An upcoming closure will be planned for the replacement of the rubber seal near the deck. Notice will be sent out prior to lane closures. Reduced speed limits are still in place, please obey traffic control devices. Roadway will be restricted to 11-foot for oversized loads. The contractor’s hours of operation will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

NM 404 Roadway Widening, Anthony to Chaparral

Mountain States Constructors, Inc. (Contractor), will be continuing the roadway reconstruction and lighting project on NM 404 from milepost 0.9 (Anthony) to milepost 8.8 (Chaparral). Traffic has been shifted into the westbound lanes so construction can be completed on the eastbound lanes. Traffic may be stopped with a flagging operation for grinding of the paved surface. A wait time of up to 15 minutes can be expected. The speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH for the safety of the traveling public. The contractor’s regular hours of operation will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, some weekends as needed.

City of Las Cruces Projects:

Sonoma Ranch Blvd.

As part of the Sonoma Ranch Mile 1 Construction Project, Sonoma Ranch Boulevard is reduced to one lane in each direction between Sierra Ventana Avenue and Sirocco Avenue while roadway improvements are being completed. The intersection of Peachtree Hills Road and Sonoma Ranch Boulevard will be closed for approximately 1.5 months while utility and roadway improvements are being completed. Detours will be in place directing traffic around the road closure.  Commuters are urged to follow all posted signs. The entire project is estimated to be completed by April 2024.

Bellamah Drive

Las Cruces Motorist are advised that Bellamah Dr. from S. Locust St. to S. Lees Dr. will be continuing with utility improvements and roadway improvements by A-Mountain Construction (Contractor) as part of the City of Las Cruces Bellamah Drive Reconstruction Project. Construction and the road closure is estimated to last until approximately June 2024 for phase 2. Resident access will be maintained at all times. Signage and detours will be present directing traffic around the work zone.

Elks Drive

Morrow Enterprises Inc. (Contractor) crews will begin installing the multi-use trail along Elks Drive in Las Cruces. Elks Drive will be shifted into a one lane road in the southbound direction. A detour for northbound traffic will be from Taylor Rd. to El Camino Real Road or E Dona Ana School Road to El Camino Real Road. This closure will be in place 24/7 until construction is complete, working hours are 7 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday.

TXDOT I-10 Project Traffic Alert:

The I-10 Mill & Inlay Project will

Close I-10 East overnight Sunday through Thursday starting at 9PM at Exit 13 (Sunland Park/Loop 375), with detour to the collector-distributor lanes (CD lanes) to continue to work on the new paving.

I-10 Widening West will

Close North Desert Tuesday overnight at Transmountain to change the I-10 entrance and open North Desert at Enchanted Hills

ADVANCE NOTICE: Close I-10 East for 50 hours (Sat. 4AM thru Mon. 6AM) the weekend after Easter to prepare to open up another lane on I-10 East, detour to Doniphan.

ADVANCE NOTICE: Close I-10 West at David Road (pretty far north) two weekends in a row for 33 hours I-10 Widening West Project

Tuesday, March 26

9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

North Desert Boulevard will be closed to all traffic at Transmountain Road.

DETOUR: Turn left at Transmountain Road, turn right on Spur 16, right on Talbot Avenue, right on SH 20 (Doniphan Drive), right on Spur 37 (Vinton Road/Westway Drive), and left on North Desert Boulevard.

Crews will be re-configuring Westbound Transmountain entrance ramp.

Beginning on Wednesday, March 27, at 5 a.m.

Westbound I-10 will be reduced to one lane north of Transmountain Road.

North Desert Boulevard will be reduced to one lane north of Transmountain Road.

The on-ramp from North Desert Boulevard to westbound I-10 at Transmountain will be permanently removed.North Desert Boulevard will re-open to thru traffic at Enchanted Hills Drive.

Thursday, March 28
9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The onramp from South Desert Boulevard to eastbound I-10 before Transmountain Road will be closed to all traffic.

DETOUR: Continue on South Desert Boulevard and re-enter I-10 before Redd Road.

Crews will be placing concrete barriers.

Advance notice of 50-hour closure of I-10 East:

Saturday, April 6 at 4 a.m., through Monday, April 8 at 6 a.m.

Eastbound I-10 will be closed at Vinton Road.

DETOUR: Take Exit 2 (Spur 37/Vinton Road/Westway Drive), turn right on Spur 37, turn left on SH 20 (Doniphan Drive), turn left on Talbot Avenue, turn left on Spur 16, turn right on South Desert Boulevard and proceed through Artcraft Road, Redd Road, Thorn Avenue, and Mesa Street, and enter I-10 using the Mesa Street entrance ramp.

Crews will be opening second lane at Vinton.

33-Hour closures coming up:

Saturday, April 6 at 9pm, through Monday, April 8 at 6am, and

Saturday, April 13 at 9pm, through Monday, April 15, at 6am

Westbound I-10 will be closed to all traffic between David Road and Vinton Road.North Desert Boulevard will be reduced to one lane at Los Mochis Drive.

DETOUR: Continue on North Desert Boulevard, re-enter I-10 past Vinton Road.
