Santiago J. Briseño, 78, a resident of Lordsburg, NM entered eternal rest Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born November 29, 1941 in Juanaldama, Zacatecas, Mexico to Jose and Guadalupe Jacquez Briseño. Santiago was an amazing husband, dad, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a very hardworker all his life, retired as an electrician. He enjoyed spending time with all his family. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife Alicia Rodriguez Briseño of the family home; one son, Santiago R. Briseño of Santa Teresa, NM; four daughters, Maria Olivas and husband Martin of Lordsburg; Laura Chavez and husband David of Vinton, TX; Ana Rodriguez and husband Ernesto of Lordsburg; Toni Silvas and husband Luis of Anthony, TX; fourteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Genaro and Jose Jacquez.
Visitation will be Friday, 9/18/20 from 5-6pm at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the holy rosary being recited by Cuca Valdez to begin at 6pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, 9/19/20 at 10am a St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Jude Okonkwo officiating. Concluding service and interment to follow at Shakespeare cemetery. Pallbearers are Jorge Rodriguez, Eduardo Rodriguez, Gerardo Reyes, Rene Reyes, Jason Jacquez, Jose Esteban Jacquez, Aaron Jacquez, and Cesar Jacquez.
