morales 02Guadalupe “Lupe” B. Morales, 93, a resident of Silver City, NM entered eternal rest Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Silver City Care Center. She was born January 30, 1927 in Mogollon, NM to Cruz Bustillos and Virginia Leon Bustillos.  She enjoyed reading, playing cards, and challenging crossword puzzles. She loved crocheting and many were blessed to be gifted with her works. She continued to amaze us with her gift of rolling out stacks of perfectly round tortillas and delicious empanadas. She also took great joy in making and giving out her Halloween/Christmas popcorn balls. She looked forward to the traditional “Christmas Cookie Day” with her great grand-children, who she loved dearly. She was blessed with a loving family and many dear friends throughout her life and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by six daughters, Christy Lopez of Silver City; Cecilia Trujillo and husband Albert of Silver City; Marcella Flores of Rio Rancho; Rosie Limon of Silver City; Rebecca  “Becky” Morales (Robert Millan) of Silver City; Gloria Balise and husband Daniel of Albuquerque; fourteen grandchildren, four step-grandchildren,  twenty-four great-grandchildren, six step great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; two sisters, Virginia Chacon of Albuquerque and Rosalina Stanton of Indiana; sister in-law, Rosario Bustillos; brother in-law, Jesus Morales.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Luis Morales, her brother, Cruz Bustillos; six sisters, Manuela Chavez, Josephine Vallejo, Bernice Holland, Antonia Chacon, Mary Lou Chavez, and Ramona Bustillos.

The holy rosary will be on Tuesday, November 24 at 9am at St. Francis Newman Center with Deacon Bill Holguin reciting.  The funeral mass will follow at 9:30am at St. Francis Newman Center with Father Bartholomew Ezenwelem officiating.  Concluding service cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory. Inurnment will take place at St.Vincent Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers are Sam Lopez, Christopher Trujillo, Rudy Flores Jr., Andrew Flores, Anthony Limon, Jeffrey Morales, and Dustin Balise.
