amygarciaAmy Annette Garcia, 59, a resident of Silver City, NM met her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 18, 2020 at Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM. She was born November 13, 1961 in Silver City, NM to Joe V. and Dora C. Sanchez. Her greatest joy was reading her Bible. She was a prayer Warrior for the Lord and she enjoyed sharing her faith, encouraging others, her kids and grandkids whom went to her for advice all the time. She spent many hours sitting at her kitchen counter talking with them.

She was a great example for her entire family. Amy was married to the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Steve G. Garcia for 41 years. They did everything together and were inseparable. She graduated from Silver High School. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She loved her pets Stormi Jaxon and Dylan Riley. She had a love for tattoos. She enjoyed sleeping, doing crafts, reading, getting her nails done, buying and wearing lipstick and attending the Super Cross Event in Phoenix, AZ every year. One of her greatest joys was riding the Harley Davidson with her husband. They loved to go on bike rides and bike runs. This last year, she started her soaping business which will be carried on by her family. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.  2 Timothy 4:7. She is survived by her father, Joe V. Sanchez, her loving husband Steve G. Garcia of the family home; one son, Steven N. Garcia and Fiancé Amanda Martinez; 3 daughters, Tanya G. Lopez and Husband Fermin, Audrey M. Gonzales and Husband Billy, Amber N. Cohn and Husband Joseph; 9 grandchildren, Britney, Brooklyn & Brailyn Lopez, Jordan R. Ponce and Husband Dustin, Michael, & Justyn Woods, Joseph, Briana, & Jocelyn Cohn. She had one Brother whom she loved very much, Jose D. Sanchez and Wife Marisela. She was preceded in death by her mother Dora C. Sanchez. No service will be held at her request. Cremation will take place at Terrazas Crematory. Arrangements are with Terrazas Funeral Chapels and Crematory “Trusted care for the ones you love” ~ 575-537-0777
