julierivera 02Juliette G. Sanchez, 52, a resident of Mimbres, New Mexico, entered eternal rest on Friday, November 11, 2022 at her residence. Julie was born in Silver City, NM to Al Sanchez and Jenny Grijalva on April 17, 1970. She is survived by her daughter Kameron Lozano and her mother Jenny G. Sanchez. She was the second of four children, Elias Sanchez (Rita), Jerome Sanchez, and Georgette Strain (Ronny).

She was an aunt to nephew Elias Sanchez Jr (Alexandra) and niece Kayleen Sanchez, godmother to nieces Jeanna Haynes (John Carl), Tenisha Lucero (Ethan Serna), and cousin Moises Trujillo. She had three great-nephews; Ezekiel Urban, Corbin Jerome, and Braxton Grey, and a great-niece Carsyn Jade. also numerous Grijalva aunts, uncles, and cousins who were like her brothers and sisters as they grew up as one family; and beloved Sanchez aunts, uncles, and cousins from Texas.

She was preceded in death by her father Al Sanchez, whom she missed and thought about daily, we are sure he was there to welcome her with open arms, along with her grandparents Sam and Marylou Grijalva.

Julie got her BS in Accounting from Western New Mexico University in 1990, her Masters of Business Administration from New Mexico State University in 1995, and recently obtained her Culinary Arts degree because cooking was her passion. She was an accountant employed by ADI Business Solutions in Phoenix, AZ. Julie was full of life and adventure, no one she met was ever a stranger to her. Her laughter was contagious and her smile brightened up any room. She spent most of her time with her family, cooking amazing meals, and traveling. Julie will remain in our hearts forever and will be truly missed.

Visitation starts at 5 pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels on Thursday, November 17 with the holy rosary to follow at 6 pm with Mary Jo and Alicia De La Torre reciting. Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Bayard, NM on Friday, November 18, 2022, at 8 am with Father Martin Okonkwo officiating. Pallbearers are Elias Sanchez, Jerome Sanchez, Frank Lucero Jr., Ron Strain, Elias Sanchez Jr., Moises Trujillo.  Honorary pallbearers are Gilbert Grijalva and Ralph Ramos. Inurnment of her ashes will be at the Grijalva Family Cemetery in Mimbres, NM later that evening.
