It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, Susie Ramirez, who embraced a life filled with love, faith, and devotion. She graced this world for 80 incredible years, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished in the hearts of all who knew her.

Born on Nov. 8, 1942 in Morenci, AZ, Susie grew up with a profound love for her Catholic faith and a deep connection to her church community. Throughout her life, she found solace, strength, and inspiration within the walls of her beloved church.

Above all, Susie cherished her role as a mother, and her love for her family knew no bounds. She was the heart and soul of our family, and she will be deeply missed.

Aside from her devotion to family and church, Susie enjoyed watching her novelas and enjoying a good cup of coffee and having her sweets. Her faith was a constant source of inspiration and guidance, and she generously shared her beliefs and wisdom with her loved ones.

She is survived by her children: Ramon Ramirez Jr. And wife, Carrie of Phoenix, AZ; Michael Ramirez and companion Sonia of Tucson, AZ; Henry Ramirez and wife Sunny of Chandler, AZ; Serena Ramirez and companion Gene of Hurley, NM; her brother Manuel Peru and wife Bertha of North Hurley, NM as well as 9 grandchildren: Kimberly Cohn; Divina Valenzuela (Dylan); Nikki Mitchell (Brian); Danielle Moore (Kohlson); Raelyn Cohn; Jannia Cohn; Genessa Amador; A.J. Ramirez; Jazmin Ramirez and 5 great grandchildren: Tae'Von; Zay'Den. Aa'Liyah; Apollo and Luna, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  She is preceded in death by her mother; Enriqueta Peru, grandmother; Olaya Peru and husband Ramon Ramirez and sister Rosie Ortiz.

Visitation will be Monday, May 29 at 5-6pm at Terrazas Funeral Chapels with the prayer vigil being recited by Deacon Art Gutierrez. The Divine Mercy will be recited by family. A funeral mass to honor and celebrate the life of Susie will be held on Tuesday, May 30 at "Hurley Infant Jesus Shrine" with Father Casmir Anozie officiating. Concluding service and interment will follow at Fort Bayard National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband.  

Pallbearers are A.J. Ramirez, Frankie Nabor, Javier Peru, Lorenzo Saenz, Frankie Ramirez, Juan Carlos Peru. Honorary pallbearers Gilbert Bujanda, Mel Ortiz, Raymond Dominguez, Manuel Peru Sr., and Jr., Frank Salcido and Danny Ortiz.
