Richard M. Sifuentes, age 81, a lifelong resident of Silver City, passed away peacefully on 10/17/2023 surrounded by his loved ones, at Del Sol Medical Center.  Richard was born to Petronila and Jose Sifuentes on February 7, 1942 in Silver City, NM. 

Richard retired from the Town of Silver City after 25 years.  He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.  He never refused a cold one when offered, especially when talking about the good old days with neighbors and friends.  He loved to hunt and fish, and in his spare time you could find him on the couch watching a good old western.  He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him. 

Richard is survived by his wife, Reina, of 44 years, two daughters Dina Sifuentes and Carol Sifuentes, both of Silver City, two stepsons, that he loved as his own, Alfred (tati) Saiz of Colorado Springs, CO and Louie Hernandez of Silver City, three grandchildren, Seraya (Alex) Fletcher, Bruce Granillo and Miranda Duran, and two great grandchildren, Zaeden and Caydyn.   He is also survived by his sister Rosa and brother Manuel.  Richard was preceded in death by his parents, one son Richard Sifuentes Jr. and two brothers, Ysidro and Joe. 

Memorial service will be held Saturday, October 28th at 10 am at Crosspoint Church 11600 US-180.  Potluck to follow service.
