BustamanteNNicholas R. Bustamante, 27, a resident of Brighton, CO entered eternal rest Saturday, December 23, 2023 at his residence.  He was born September 4, 1996 in Silver City, NM to Ventura Bustamante and Mary Gomez.

Nicholas graduated from Mayfield High School in Las Cruces, NM.  He enjoyed being with family and friends.  His big smile and big heart brightened any room he entered, bringing warmth to all that crossed his path.  He could be found enjoying the outdoors and playing sports with friends, cooking his favorite dishes.  He had his sweet tooth for butterscotch sticks, and his yeast bread.  All the while watching his favorite team The Pittsburg Steelers.  He often was found enjoying the open roads and wind while riding his side by side.  Handy with his hands, he enjoyed building things here and there, working and working, enjoying his cars. He took comfort in making those he knew laugh.  Above all, he enjoyed being with family and friends. He enjoyed being with his family, Celina and kids.  They liked the outdoors.  Nick loved them so much. His smile showed it all.

He is survived by his father Ventura Bustamante; his mother, Margie Gomez and companion Alfred Flores; his girlfriend, Celina Victoria and her kids, Elijah and Elaina; his brothers, Andrew Gomez and his wife Marissa of Arenas Valley; Jesse J. Bustamante of Silver City; Marcus T. Bustamante of Las Cruces; his sisters, Vanessa Sanchez and husband Johnny Baca of Silver City; Serena Milligan; step-sisters, Michelle Castillo and husband Tyson; Candance Castañeda and husband Javier; his maternal grandmother, Ana Monje of Santa Clara.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Julio Gomez; paternal grandparents, Ventura V. Bustamante Sr. and Ida V. Bustamante.
