ArambulaVDelfina Villalpando Arambula, 79, a resident of Lordsburg, NM entered eternal rest Thursday, March 21, 2024 at University Medical Center Hospital of El Paso, TX.   She was born on January 10, 1945 to her parents, Blas and Felicitas (Rodriguez) Villalpando in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Delfina will remember her as a selfless individual who always prioritized the needs of others above her own. Her generous and nurturing nature shone through as she made sure nobody ever came to her home without her getting up to make a meal if she didn't have something made, leaving her home hungry or antojado (craving). Delfina's culinary skills were renowned among her family, friends and community, particularly her delicious gorditas!

Aside from tending to her loved ones and creating mouth-watering dishes, Delfina found joy in spending as much time with her family and friends. She always knew what was going on and would put you on hold while she answered the call coming in or other phone ringing. We would joke and say, " Mom is the Grand Central." Her warm personality and giving spirit touched the lives of many.

We will miss her dearly, the sparkly in her beautiful eyes, smile, and the warmth of love we felt in our chest. Mom, we will miss your hugs, leaning down because of our height and size to kiss us on the forehead, and bless us to send us on our way! God Bless you, love you and know we will all be ok!

She is survived by her six sons, Fernando Jimenez (Brenda) of Albuquerque, NM, Armando Jimenez (Cassandra) of Albuquerque, NM, Roberto Jimenez of Albuquerque, NM, Luis Jimenez (Janice) of San Antonio, TX, Victor Arambula (Maria) of Lordsburg, NM, Nicolas Arambula (Felicia) of Santa Clara, NM; her daughter, Patricia Talavera (Adrian) of Lordsburg, NM; her sister, Consuelo Madrid (Isabel) of Lordsburg, NM; her Seventeen grandchildren; her Fifteen Great-grandchildren; and her numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Nick Reyes Arambula; her son, Tomas Jimenez; her sister, Socorro Acosta.

Visitations will be held on Monday, April, 1, 2024 at 12:30pm to 1:00pm at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (416 E 2nd St. Lordsburg, NM 88045) with the Holy Rosary commencing at 1:00pm, recited by Carlos Bejarano.  The Funeral Mass will follow at 1:30pm with Father Jude Okonkwo officiating.  The interment will be at Shakespeare Cemetery following the mass, where she will be laid to rest near her beloved, Nick.  Pallbearers are Fernando Jimenez, Armando Jimenez, Roberto Jimenez, Luis Jimenez, Victor Arambula, Nicolas Arambula.

Arrangements are with Terrazas Funeral Chapels “Trusted care for the ones you love” ~ 575-537-0777.  To send condolences, visit www.terrazasfuneralchapel.com .
