Naomi Corbly, 92, of Silver City entered eternal rest on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at her residence.  She was born to her parents Nicolas and Delfina (Lopez) Castillo in Santa Rita, NM on January 11, 1932.

Naomi was a loving wife to her husband Don for 64 years.  She was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Naomi retired after working 30 years in the meat department at Furr’s grocery store. She loved to travel, spend time with family and going to church.  She was an amazing cook who loved to cook for family and friends.  She also enjoyed working in her beautiful yard. Her greatest joy was to be surrounded by her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her greatest treasures.  She was always ready to help anyone in need. She will be remembered with love and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her son Ron Corbly (Suzanne) of Silver City, NM; her two daughters, Judie Morrone (Frank) of Frankfort, IL and Kris Lowry (Ray) of Silver City, NM; her two brothers, Rudy L. Castillo (Dolores) of Bayard, NM and Nahum “Boone” Castillo (Clorinda) of Albuquerque, NM; her sisters Jemima Bauch (Richard) of Santa Clara, Sephora “Delfina” Gallegos, and Lydia C. Garcia of Phoenix, AZ;  her five grandchildren Tisha (Clay), Tim, Jerame, Ben (Alyssa), and Tara (Mike); her fifteen great-grandchildren Brooke, Elizabeth, Ashton, Wyatt, Alex, Clarissa, Mason, Kayla, Makenzie, Gavin, Evelyn, Avery, William, Isla, and James.

She was preceded in death by her husband Don, her parents, her brothers, Robert, Sam, Max, Joshua, Bernie, Joe and Rev. Nicholas Castillo, baby Abenego Castillo and baby Emanuel Castillo; her sisters Aurora Garza, Deborah Perez, baby Esther Castillo and baby Maria Martina Castillo.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Terrazas Funeral Chapels, with the Funeral Service commencing at 9:30 a.m. with Minister Eli Castillo officiating.  Interment will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Fort Bayard National Cemetery.
