“Jewish High Holidays” Unitarian Universalist Fellowship

September 17, at 10:00 am, 3845 North Swan Street  – “Jewish High Holidays”

This active participatory service will recognize the two high holidays known as Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.  Rosh Hashanah begins at sundown on Friday, Sept. 15 and ends at sundown on Sunday, Sept. 17. Rosh Hashanah, literally the “head of the year” is the Jewish New Year. It is a time of inner renewal and divine atonement. Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement) falls on September 24th and 25th.

The 10 days between are known as a time of charity, prayer and repentance during which people are encouraged to right those they have wronged and to forgive those who have wronged them. In the traditional liturgy, the Angel of Life opens the Book of Life on Rosh Hashanah inviting the faithful to reflect on their destinies. At the end of the 10 days, the Angel inscribes their fate in the following year into the Book.

Book Signing Bayard Public Library - Quantum Pulse

QuantumPulseIn celebration of her upcoming book Quantum Pulse, Ria Bonneamie will read from her work at the Bayard Public Library at 3:00 pm on Friday, September 15th. A book signing will follow.

Her debut book A Dual Affair is staged in southern New Mexico, where outlaws commingle with righteous citizens, and an unusual duo of detectives is challenged by the area’s inhabitants, terrain, fauna, and unpredictable elements.

In her new release Quantum Pulse, Bonneamie relates seven arcane tales of the subconscious mind ranging from dreams, to reincarnations, to multiple dimensions, including a convergence of different time and space occupancy.

Born and raised in Europe and northern Africa, Bonneamie studied psychology, nutrition, homeopathy and art throughout Europe and western Asia. Currently living mostly in New Mexico, she is an artist and a master transpersonal hypnotherapist.
