.CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS CONTINUE FOR MONDAY... .Another stronger surface low will form to the north in Colorado today. This will increase southwest winds this afternoon areawide. The windy conditions, extremely low humidity, and very dry fuel conditions will lead to critical fire weather conditions Monday afternoon. Min RH values will dip into the single digits during the afternoon and evening hours. Winds will diminish after sunset this evening. Critical conditions are expected to return Wednesday afternoon for areas west of the Continental Divide (NW FW Zones 110 & 111).

CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS FOR SUNDAY... .Stronger southwest flow on Sunday will combine with a surface low developing along the Front Range of the Rockies. These two conditions will lead to very windy conditions for southern New Mexico and far west Texas. The strong winds, extremely low humidity, and very dry fuel conditions will lead to critical fire weather conditions Sunday afternoon. Min RH will dip into the single digits during the afternoon and evening hours, followed by poor overnight recoveries. Critical conditions are expected to persist through Monday as the surface low slowly moves east during the afternoon hours, keeping a tight pressure gradient. At least winds will be lighter on Monday.

CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED THIS WEEKEND... .Southwest flow restrengthens over the weekend as a surface low develops along the front range of the Southern Rockies. Breezy conditions will begin in the afternoon hours on Saturday. This will be combined with dangerously low humidity and very dry fuel conditions. RH dipping below 8% is expected during the afternoon and evening hours, followed by poor overnight recoveries. Even stronger winds are likely on Sunday, which may create extreme fire danger for much of the area..

CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED FOR SATURDAY FOP LOW HUMIDITY AND STRONG WINDS... .A broad trough will move into the western U.S. this weekend and this trough will help generate some strong surface winds Saturday afternoon. These strong winds will combine with min RH's of 5 to 10% to create critical fire weather conditions for all of the region. RH recoveries at night will be poor, staying below 20% for much of the area. We will see an extended period of very dry and windy conditions for this weekend into the first of next week.

CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS WEDNESDAY FOR LOW HUMIDITY AND STRONG WINDS... .As a dry airmass persists, and fuels continue to dry out, west winds will strengthen Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon as another system moves over the central Rockies. The strongest winds will be in the Gila Region Tuesday afternoon, with winds elsewhere remaining just under criteria. Critical fire weather conditions could still occasionally be seen in these areas as the air remains dry and fuels continue to dry out. Winds will strengthen area wide Wednesday afternoon with the strongest winds in the higher elevations of Grant, Sierra, and Otero Counties. A cold front will move through the area north to south Wednesday afternoon, bringing with it drier air. Winds will diminish a few hours after sunset both days. Overnight RH recoveries will be decent early Wednesday morning, but will be 10-20% lower early Thursday morning.
